Cheers for the positive comments. Yes Class D has come along way. Our typical customer for our NC500 is a very experienced Audiophile with high end kit, £5-10K speakers etc and replacing large A A/B power amps, even tubes.

Newlash09 asked about a comparison the the Bel Canto Ref600M well our NC500 uses the same main two components. the difference is we use $400 of discrete Op Amps and Voltage regulators in our input buffer rather than a couple of pound IC based components. The result is a richer more dynamic sound for half the price of the Bel Canto.

We were thinking of doing a amp tour sending it around to folks who would like to hear one with out the pressure to buy one. All we would ask is you to post your impressions of the amp. If there is any interest?

I'd certainly be up for that too. I'm looking at options to reduce the amount of space my seperates takes up and two mono amps would potentially be ideal. Like others, I'm a class D sceptic based on previous experience so it'd certainly be interesting.

Maybe make it a condition that each participating member pays the postage of sending them on to the next person? Would help to keep the cost down.

The cyrus stereo 200 is a very very good class d power amp. I’ve heard it with my pre amp (dac xp signature) and speakers (25-23) compared to my mono x200sig amps, it’s still very good. I had no issues with any ‘class d sharpness’ for my tastes.

Why not have both?

KEF LS50 wireless.

GF factor. She wont allow me to have my main system in the living room and to be fair, I do most of my listening whilst working in the home office anyway. I dont want to part with my speakers either. The next room I'll be using for a home office will most likely be smaller than what I have now. As a result I have to plan for the reduced space. I havent totally given up the hope of a full seperates system though and maybe something like an under desk amp rack is an option but some small cased dual monos may be easier to accommodate than a full sized amp.
