HDD or Nas – Streamer (analog out) – Speakers

Synology 212 NAS via network – Squeezebox touch analog out – Adam Audio Artist 3 – Controlled via SB iphone app and SB remote

WD portable HD via USB – Squeezebox Touch digital out – AVI ADM 9t or ADM 40 - Controlled via SB iphone app (or SB remote) and AVI remote

Computer (digital out) – Dac/pre – Speakers or

Music Server (digital out) – Dac/pre - Speakers

MacMini (or any other) via optical or USB – Benchmark DAC1 HDR – ATC SCM 20A (or any other actives) – controlled via itunes remote app (or apple remote control/mouse and display) and Benchmark remote.

Computer (usb out) – usb speakers

MacMini (or any other) – B&W MM1 or Adam Audio Artist 3 or 5 (controlled by itunes remote app and B&W remote)

All above optons are low box count, high sound quality and convenient control. Some are reasonably priced.

I thought the forum auto-resizes to 500 pixels wide?

400 I think. But if you don't resize them there can be a definite "WIDE PICTURE/narrow picture" pause. Not such a big deal if there's only one but when there are lots it becomes more noticeable. Doesn't happen if they're sized on insertion.

Referring to the Teufel networked actives......

Now this looks to me like the next logical step for domestic active speakers. I have my Squeezebox touch and brand new ADM 9s. Add Spoofify and it is about perfect for our household of very different musical tastes.

I was just thinking a network connection would be great with the ability to get AirPlay or Squeezeserver or some other client or build in a Raspberry Pi running openelec and you have it all Air play XBMC for films etc with not much more additional hardware cost.

Linn does some models in active, but as far as I know some are only possible with external crossovers and power amps. All are very expensive.

I've heard these in a full Klimax system......I much prefered the Active to the Passive version, though it's not how I'd spend that sort of money.

Yep, price is 3K. Amp wise, Class D with 50 watts for tweeter and 100 watts for driver.
