speaker upgrade

i currently use an arcam a70 amp and cd 73t cd player with mordaunt short 906 floorstanders. but i want more bass and i have a budget of 600 pounds. ive found a set of brand new monitor audio rs8 for 550 or mordsaunt short ms916 for 150 at richer sounds. the 916 have slightly bigger drivers. can anyone help me or suggest any other speakers? my budget must include stands if there stoundmounts. thanks

I prefer the RS6's (nothing biased in the comment

) to their bigger siblings. The RS8's dig a bit deeper in the bass but lack overall ability of the RS6.

Personally, I'd look at bi-amping a P80 or P85. This will give more and better controlled bass and will add detail to the mix - for around £300.
