If I remember correctly they don't open on a Monday. Give em a ring tomorrow. I do rate them highly.. They are my first choice when looking to upgrade and had quite a bit of stuff off them in the past

You're probably right, but I'm not going to ring them, they need to do what they said they would do, and that is contact me.

And I'm not all wound up, I'm calm, and enjoying my day. Honestly.

Been dealing with these guys for years, If you don't get a new deck then I'll eat my hat.......... ;)

Hat eating time.

Refund to be issued, no apology, no explanation as to what happened with Rega, won't be going back.

Now get a nice, used Michell

regards

I want something interesting looking, stylish, a with a top sound, but I think I will rain the budget in a touch, so around £400.

2nd hand or new, any recommendations welcome.

Well I must say you have been extremely unlucky, out of the many people on here & vinylengine who bought into the RP6 cosmetic seconds (and have been pleased) I guess there was bound to be at least a few unlucky punters.

Moorgate really should of done better with there customer service as this is who your contract of sale is with......NOT Rega.

Hope you get sorted anyway.

Unlucky, yes, but in a way I'm kind of pleased.

I think I'm going to get something a little more interesting looking, probably used, and maybe even in need of a little work.

I know nothing about the workings of a turntable, and for someone who has always loved vinyl, that's pretty poor. It's about time I learnt.

I don't want to be thrown right in the deep end, but I would like some recommendations of quality, yet interesting looking turntables, that can be had for around the £400 mark.

If I have to go a little higher, I will, but design is nearly as important as sound and build quality.

I want people to enter my lounge, and immediately be struck by the deck, I want it to be a focal point, a real centrepiece.

Please, if you see something for sale, that might be up my street (not literally), please let me know

I like it, but I was so busy researching, I missed your post, and missed the auction. Thanks though.

Yeah no worries it only had 11 mins to go when I posted, but hope its given you an idea.

Lots of TT on the bay . Saw a linn basik with no arm could be a project only about £100 at mo.

I just had this delivered as my next project

Very interesting looking project.

I've heard the Linn Basik's aren't that great, and they are a little, ummmm.......basic.

Do you think they'll take an offer of £400?

They can only say no :shifty:

It was an axis not basik sorry but gone now.

lots of interesting tt's on there

Before I bought my rega I was tempted to get an lp12, well eventually by buying various parts and

putting one together, but they still go for silly money.

How about a black magic from inspire £540, don't know what its like but looks nice

Was looking at this, as it's very close to where I live, but the sellers feedbacks worries me a little, and to me, it looks just too good, like it's been varnished.

Have you got a link to the Black Magic?

That lp12 looks good and only one negative feedback so I would give it a go

No arm though, and as good as it sounds, it doesn't have the wow factor for me. If (and that's a very big if), it stays relatively low, I might go for it.
