Was looking at this, as it's very close to where I live, but the sellers feedbacks worries me a little, and to me, it looks just too good, like it's been varnished.

Have you got a link to the Black Magic?

http://www.inspirehifi.co.uk/black-magic-turntable.html

That lp12 looks good and only one negative feedback so I would give it a go

No arm though, and as good as it sounds, it doesn't have the wow factor for me. If (and that's a very big if), it stays relatively low, I might go for it.

Probably go for silly money thats why I stopped looking at lp12's and they get very mixed reviews.

Very tempted. What's your opinion of the Concept?

I've never heard it but it does get good reviews and have seen it recommended on here before.

£1220 new so hopefully it should be good.

Maybe start a new thread asking about it.

I think any kind of hesitation might prove fatal.

I may, or may not have made an offer already.

Now I need to work out whether the new cartridge I bought for the RP6 will go with the Concept.

Thanks again Andy for your advice last night.

Yeah, was the Shure M97xE. I guess I'll have to see how I get on with it.

Well done. There is no reason the cartridge will not go fine with the new turntable. Enjoy! :)

It would seem andybeau just pipped me to the post!

Does that mean you were interested in the Concept?

I've got that on my short list, its cheaper than my elys2(which is a good thing ;) ), but gets good reviews from users all over and

being used on some great tt's

Someone on here recommended it to me, name escapes me, so apologies to them, but it does seem like an excellent cartridge for the money.

I'm not looking forward to the process of connecting it to the Concept though, but as I said before, I need to learn these things.

Its not hard to fit just fiddly fitting. Make sure the wires are all the way home.

Then you need to do the alignment, heres a link to the manual
