Magnepan Ribbon Speakers

I'm thinking about ordering a pair of Magnepan MMGs. In the USA you can buy a pair direct from Magnepan for $595. It's the only model they sell direct as a loss leader to hook you on the brand. But many people get them and never upgrade. I'd be keeping my Dyns. This would just be for fun. Hundreds of 5 star owner reviews on these. I'm waffling on the decision mainly because they are so bulky. They are 14" x 48". I definately prefer the look of box speakers on stands, but it would be great fun to see what these sound like with the rest of my kit. Anybody out there tried these?
