Upgrading speaker cable - worthwhile?

Hi,

I have recently purchased a Yamaha MCR140.

Would an upgrade to the standard bare wire speaker cable improve the sound in any way?

I would be looking to spend £3-£5 per metre.

If it's really thin, then yes, but yu don't need to spend much to acheive 99.9% of what you ever will IMO.

I personally would recommend Van Damme studio grade 2.5 mm Check prices but it's available for around £2/m if you look around.

Thanks for the replies, I think I will invest a small amount and give it a try.

I have been very impressed with the Yamaha so far, it sounds good and the wireless transmitter for my iPod Touch has made my life so much easier!
