Will I damage my speakers?

I have two Bronze Br1 studio monitors and a quite old NAD 3020b stereo amplifier (I think it's from the 80s) that are hand-me-downs from somebody who knows a great deal more about sound than I do, and I was wondering how I'd avoid damaging my speakers.

What do I look for in the specs to tell me whether damage might occur?

As long as you wire it up correctly you're unlikely to damage them. The system you have should match perfectly well, if you turn it up loud and hear distortion or a "clapping" noise from the bass drivers, turn it down. That's about it
