Why is it that you can sit as close as you like with a Pc lcd moniter but you have to sit at a set distance from a Lcd Tv for a could picture?

Also, this may be another daft question, if you have to sit further away from a larger Lcd Tv, for the screen to be crisp, the viewing area will be the same irrespective of what size Lcd Tv you buy?

Thanks, just wondering.

Dave.

I work with accounts and numbers.. too much numbers.. my eyes are just about 40cm to monitor screen. If i have 50inch screen, with high resolution suitable for computers, i would enjoy sit 2 metres away from the monitor.

Simply, Dave, that in order to get the larger picture size, the individual pixels making up the image are much bigger than in your monitor, and so much more obvious close-up.

I agree - follow the advice in the mag and the how to videos. To big a screen in a small room gives a less than good picture as you cannot get far enough from the screen. IMHO most folks have a screen that's too big for their viewing room. I regularly watch a mates from his kitchen!!
