Replace my Marantz cd 17 no mk2 or KI version.

I'm looking for a good replacement for my current cdplayer the Marantz cd 17 mk1.

It has to fit my Marantz pm 14 amp and Warfedale Evo 30 speakers.

Any contenders?

interesting, just sold my cd17 mk2 ki, and replaced it with an audio analogue paganini cdp.

the marantz has better bass, but the paganini wipes the floor with the marantz on....larger sound stage, images appear far left and right, more depth, and sounds far more analogue.

very smooth, no trace of harshness or digital nastys.

if you want to keep the marantz there are a couple of companys that will upgrade with better components, expect to pay up to £600.
