Occasional Thump From Sub - Is This Normal?

Hi Guys, i'm new to the home cinema scene and just bought the Yam 667 AV amp and some Monitor Audio Radius HD speakers.

Occasionally the Sub (MA Radius HD 360) will make a single thumping noise, usually when something like the adverts come on. It's not really a problem as it only does it every now and then but i just want to know if it's normal.

Sounds like it's in auto-standby most of the time, and only 'wakes up' when the much louder adverts appear. Or it could be triggered by the amp switching mode between stereo and surround as the content changes.
