New speakers/soundbar for TV

Hello

I am looking for a decent sound bard or soundsystem for my new TV in the living room. I am not looking to spend a lot of money, let's say £100 if I could get a decent sound for this money. Also I would like to buy something that connects to the TV and when I turn on the TV the speakers turn on as well so I don't have to turn them on every time. This is also not to keep the speakers on all the time, as they would be on only when the TV is on. Or maybe there are some speakers that go on standby if they don't recive any audio, and wake up when they recive audio from the TV. I don't know what is out there and how this could work for me, that;s why I am asking you guys here on the form. Thanks, and waiting your suggestions.

£100 is a bit low really to give much choice. For a bit more, something like this http://www.superfi.co.uk/p-9743-acoustic-energy-aego-m-subwoofersatellite-speaker-package.aspx should provide much better sound than your TV speakers. I assume you've worked out what outputs you have on the TV to drive external speakers?

thanks for the suggestions. does this speaker go on standby when not used, or tun on with the TV or something like that so I don't have to turn them on/off everytime.
