Good God, and 11,500GBP for a 2.5m power chord.

On the plus side, you do get free postage. And a cable burn in accelerator, if you are that way inclined.

What's the deal with the cheap pine block thing? I suppose it counts for 25p of the cost per interconnect. So, where's the other £11,999.50 get spent?

You would think after shifting all this megabucks gear they could afford more than 30p on the look of their website !

http://www.highendcable.co.uk/

Tacky or what? It shouts 'Geek'. If I was one of the wealthy prospective customers I would run a mile from their 'shopfront' and if I were someone in Nordost's marketing department I would be kicking highendcable ltd around for showing my product in such a 'low rent' way with that horrible, creepy, old cartoon bloke winking and the stupid Giraffe etc. Cheap & nasty. .

If you use the 10% of budget on cables rule this means a total cost of 2-3 hundred grand for the system, assuming a 3m run of speaker cable and an I/C.Even if I won the lottery would flinch at paying that sort of money,be fun to see what you would get though ;-)
