How to get better sound from my speakers (Paradigm Monitor 7 v3)

<>I have a NAD C352 amp, NAD C542 CD player and Paradigm Monitor 7 v3 with QED XT-300 cables. All these components are good according to tests, but the problem is the sound; the sound is not detailed and crispy and the midrange should have more "air" and better defined instruments. The sound is smooth, but I expect more detail.
Does somebody have experience with these paradigm's? How can I get more cleaner sound from this set? Or which speaker in this price range can achieve this?

I see no replies but wondering if you had any luck getting this sorted? I have NAD C542 and am thinking of buying NAD C352 amp.
