Can Somebody tell Me.......

Hi Gel,
As you may be aware i had a LG E7. That died in January so needed to purchase a new TV.
I couldn't wait for the G6 so purchased a G5.
It is good and as bright as i would need it to be. Picture quality (non terrestrial) is really good and watching films in film maker mode is excellent.
Hope you are keeping well and you find what you are looking for in your Hi Fi quest.

Ah right. My dad’s C9 died last year after 5 years. Enjoy the new one. 👍

Actually if you look online you will find many repairers of TVs that don't rate LG reliability (They see plenty of them coming in for repairs just outside the warrantee period) plus parts are difficult to get, so while they may have a fantastic picture it is prudent to take out an extended warrantee.

Thanks Bill, I will definitely be wary if buying another LG.

My E7 was 9 years old, it wasn't the screen that went.
I had it plugged into a "smart socket" and it blew the socket, tried in another socket it came on and the tripped the circuit.
Wanted a new one anyway.
My dads just wouldn’t turn on anymore. Look into getting repaired and was something like £500 and then there were no long term guarantees with it, so they recommend buying a new one, so we bought the LG 55B42 OLED from Costco for £408 with a 5 year warranty!
