After moving house, I have reconfigured my speakers/hif rack - Was using 2 x 2m Chord Odyssey but needed 2 x 6m runs to get my speakers/hifi rack in the best place. Got 2 x 6m Rumour 2 which has saved me a lot of money - can't really distinguish it form Odyssey though! Still a lovely sounding cable.

Anybody thinking of Odyssey, try and get some Rumour on demo you may be surprised how good it is!

I would try Van Damme OFC or Blue many previous Rumour users find it better and its cheaper to.

Well it was a £103 ebay bargain, so I wont lose much if decide i dont like after a few days

You have 7 days to return it. VD OFC is about £5 a metre, Maplins do the Blue for about £3.30pm.

To be honest the Rumour was used off eBay complete with Chord plugs/shrink, when I said a few days I meant to see If I'm happy with the sound.

Not decided on speakers - I need to demo some Dyn X12, but its finding the time - I would quite happily snap up some used Rega RS3 but finding some isnt easy that are the colur I want.

The Dyns are worth a try, they were not for me but may work with a TT and Rega set up.

I think you want black, I have just got piano black now and the finish is excellent but I prefer veneer.

I want gloss black but would consider cherry!

PS Got my TT well away from my speakers now too, not sure if it sounds any better

I found the opposite - Van Damme Blue was horribly muffled and thick-sounding. Rumour sorted it out. Certainly seems capable enough in my system.
