I was listening to Rach 3 last night via my fatman itube 252 valve
amplifier ( gorgeous sounding highly recommend it) with single wire
configuration and it sounded incredible. This morning I got my bi wire
QED Silver Anniversary XT speaker cable, and what a difference it made,
it added a whole new dimension to the Rach 3, separation was flawless,
at the very beginning I was able to clearly pick out a string section
that I hadn't noticed before on single wire and on an Onkyo TX-SR605.
So IMHO bi-wire does make a difference.

Funny, I was about to post with the kinda opposite finding. Over the weekend I wired up my Onkyo 875 to run a second zone and reverted from using a bi-amp setup with my B&W 685s to a standard single-amp configuration in the main room. In the process I doubled up my QED Silver Anniversary Cable reasoning the more copper / lower resistance path the better.

I was braced for the sound to be affected negatively but found the reverse to be true especially in the midrange which benefited from an improved level of detailed and more focussed presentation that surprised me. The overall sound before was great and I was really happy with it but this is a significant overall improvement, albeit at the expense of a tiny bit of extension in the bass.

Was your original speaker cable QED Silver Anniversary XT cable? If not then you can't categorically state that it's bi-wiring that's made the difference, it could just be different cable characteristics.

FWIW I felt that there was a definite improvement when I switched to bi-wiring, however I just added a second run using the same cable I'd used originally, so the bi-wiring was the only difference.

Terryff: If i have an amp that has two speaker outlets and speakers with only one set of binding posts, can i still bi-wire??
No, you need two pairs of binding posts on each speaker in order to bi-wire.

Will it make any difference?

It might go bang! who knows...
