Sorry about the subject title but it was too tempting! Did post in Accessories too but thought more suitable here.

At present my Sub has little spikes coming out of it, i have stuck on some 3M semi-circular spongey things to protect my Parquet floor. Couple of quick questions:

Would i get more 'ground-shaking' bass if i removed the protective spongey things? (I did from my old Sub)

What difference would it make if i bought some granite plinths to place the Sub onto with the spikes only?

Thanks in advance!

Put coins under the spikes if the floor is pretty solid (ie concrete underneath), you'd only need the granite if you were on a suspended wooden floor.

Go nuts and do 20p

Apparently, the silver plating on 5 penny bits, gives a leaner, punchier bass.

I am tempted to use 20p pieces but i'm saving up for a Yam RX-V1067!!!

You don't think 'gold' £1 coins would be better than 'Silver' coins?

A test for the mag don't you think?
Only joking....
By the way I have a set of four one pound coins hardly used you can have them for 8 pound, I've upgraded to 2 pound coins.

Thanks for the offer Dean. I am currently bidding on some 'nearly new' £1 coins on EBay and winning at £7.10, seeing if i can save on the £23 postage as i can pick them up for £10 in petrol!!!
