I have just aquired some speakers from a Car Boot Sale, they look really nice actually and the build quality is great!

There is a sticker to the rear with 100 Watts on and a model number which is PS-8900V - No Name on them anywhere.

I have typed the model number in Google but found no results matching speakers.

Sorry just to add that these are three way speakers.

Any body have any ideas ?

CJackson,

I figure these will remain with 'No Name'.

You've bought it. Enjoy it.

Hook it up and tell us how it sounds to you.

Ive uploaded pics so maybe someone will recognise them - However I have a feeling they could be Pioneers as they look similar to an old pair I had but they where only two ways.

Samsung arnt bad never had any of their speakers like but these sound good

Have to say I wasn't aware of Samsung having any great presence in the speaker drive-unit business: had always assumed that the drivers in its products - eg TVs, home cinema systems - were procured from third-party suppliers.

Certainly the facilities I saw when I visited their R&D department in Korea a while back seemed more concerned with testing finished product, rather than driver development...

All that said, if you bought them at boot-sale price then no problem; the 'scam' behind the 'white van' speakers is people paying several hundred pounds for speakers they think are of a pro specification and should retail for many times more, when in fact they're worth considerably less than they pay for them.

You probably paid a pittance and if you're happy Chris, that's all that matters really. That's the beauty of hifi!
