Stiff Little Fingers - Suspect Device. The album is on Rough Trade and they fell out with them during the recording and so one of the tracks on it is slagging the label personnel off, which still makes me smile.

Anyway, this track has a raw power that easily stands next to The Stooges and motors past the rest of their contemporaries. There's no safe distance for the guitar on this and the vocals speak for all the people of their home country, Northern Ireland, that were experiencing 'The Troubles' at that time. A piercing, puncturing, ripping and gouging tune that grips me with the power of the first hearing, every time I listen again.

Fyne Audio F302 Floorstanding Speakers Giveaway (“Sweepstakes”) begins at 12 p.m. (noon) Eastern Time (“ET”) on November 1st, 2019 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on November 30th, 2019 (“Sweepstakes Period”).

ELIGIBILITY: This Sweepstakes is only open to legal residents of the the fifty (50) United States, the United Kingdom, and District of Columbia, 18 or older. Employees, officers, directors and agents of Future PLC. (“Sponsor”), Fyne Audio and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising and promotion agencies, including any vendors providing services in connection with this Sweepstakes, and members of their immediate family (spouse, parent, children, siblings and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household, whether or not related, are not eligible. The details that are only revealed when listening to it on better systems are fascinating.

That, or the live version of “Since I’ve Been Loving You” on the Song Remains the Same for the guitar at the start. But I guess I should stick with my first choice...

Maybe I give it a little extra credit as it's also one of the most high quality albums I have but even if it wasn't in 24/96 it's still a stunning piece of music that will give your speakers or headphones a good run for their money. Japanese Nu-jazz which borders on orchestral at times, a worthy addition to any test playlist. There are so many other tracks I'd have loved to include though but that's probably why my "test sessions" are so damn long

Although every track on the album possesses it’s own beauty, nothing compares to the tear jerker that is Quia Fecit. Now, i am no religious man, by Mary’s proclamation of the lords greatness hits even me.

Everything, including the recording, venue and performance all come together here to deliver emotions i have yet to feel/ hear in any other piece of music.
