Just been on a long and gruelling photoshoot for a client of mine, crew of 22 people, hard work, pretty models, long hours, a good few beers and wines along the way, worked from 7:45am to 6am last night solid...

And got back this afternoon...

And I'd just like to say that I love my hifi. The recent upgrades really have added to the sound, despite what many non-believers would have you think.

I've heard some good systems over the years, including some work in professional sound studios, and I really think what I have is top notch and punches above its weight.

Anyway, just thought you'd like to know.

Now, about this client of yours...

Or, can i at least have the models' phone numbers (if at first you dont succeed...)?

I notice there was not a word there about missing the wife, kids or even the dog/cat/hamster!

(I have this vision of Joel running straight past his wife to hug the Arcam.)

Absence - so the saying goes - makes the heart grow fonder. The true test is living with the sound day in, day out for everything from background to so called 'critical listening'.

I work mostly from home, so playing the hifi at all volume levels from whisper quiet upwards (5:30 am Radio 4) with all material from vinyl to internet radio for up to 16 hours a day is the true test of how much you like it.

Anything sounds great after a hard day at work, coming home and kicking the feet up with a nice cuppa and a favourite piece of music or a Radio 4 comedy or whatever winds you down. But when the system is already 'at work' with you all day too... that is when it has to be right.

Who are these non-believers? What don't they believe in?

She's called Claire, and not only is she as fit as a butcher's dog, she is lovely and good fun too (and laughed at all my jokes!).

By all means, I'll pass on the male models' numbers, which one do you like ? Gary, Michael or Dallas?

And Chebby I did run past the missus to hug my Arcams... (although I did go to pick the nipper up from the childminders when I got back as I hadn't seen him for a while

Good days Joel! (And that`s without taking into consideration that Lysette Anthony is related to your missus!)

For anyone who missed the Lysette Anthony thread here`s a little reminder -

Great to know that you enjoy your system - that's important.
