Unable to open e-mail attachments Help !

Windows OS system with Vista, am now unable to open email attachments or save them. Any ideas?

Looked on Windows web site for a solution but didn't work for me. I have also tried switching off Virus protection as to see if causing a conflict but that didn't work either.

Which email software? Outlook?

Outlook, but also going online to log in to sky account or using other broswers does not allow me to open attachments.

Try saving them to your hard disk then opening them. Use "save as" rather than "Save" so you know where the attachments are going.

According to the Sky Service page they are currently experiencing a higher than normal level of calls, which usually means there is a problem somewhere, so I would leave well alone at the moment as the problem may be at Sky’s end.
