I think it might be "A Midnight Clear".

I once spent ages looking for a film I saw as a kid. All I could remember was a Plane, trees and a chase by bad guys. About 5 years ago, I stumbled on it by accident. It was called "Run For the Sun". An OK film but not a classic. It just happened to stick in my childhood mind.
Me next please?? lol

Se7en on 4k - genuinely great film, and it looked marvellous to my eyes. Be interesting to see what @davidf makes of it!
Just got back from the cinema - wow. It wasn't the remaster, but seeing it on an IMAX screen shows that it's one of those films that was made for the big screen. It didn't look as bad as Zodiac last week, (their IMAX screen is much better than some of their other screens), but having been used to it on Bluray, it sort of looked how I expected it to, although the sound wasn't great, partly due to the ramped up bass in the IMAX theatre. If they show the remaster there at any point, I'll go see it. If they're still there.

I'll flick through the 4K disc after a couple of films tomorrow night (although it's bound to look amazing after tonight), but I might keep a full viewing until my demo room is finished early next month.

Thank You!
I had planned to order this movie ages ago but had forgotten about it.
Reading your post, you reminded me!
I ordered it today from HMV, metal case and all, should arrive in the next 48hrs, whoopee!

Wow. I only flicked through bits here and there, but it has turned out better than I expected - I was a little worried it would look a bit 'varied' being only HDR, although I still think it's criminal this film wasn't done in DolbyVision (and Atmos). Very clean looking, but no evidence of smoothing, although I got the impression that backgrounds may have been smoothed a little, as I'm sure the previous Bluray had some noticeable grain, which I thought would still have been slightly evident, just finer.

As always with great looking discs, it's all about fine details and texture. The fabric detail on clothing and face/hair detail is fantastic, as shown in many places including the protective clothing of the SWAT guy in the helicopter towards the end (a hard wearing synthetic weave type material) and Somerset's blanket in his apartment, and the pattern detail of the Police Chief's (R. Lee. Ermey) tie looks amazing!
I see Fincher has digitally removed the small tube in Pitt's hair in the rainy alley way scene that's pumping blood after John Doe hits him with the jack and runs off - I'm glad they did that as it was starting to get on my nerves! He's beefed up the blood content in the final shooting as well.

So yeah, well pleased with this release, so I'm looking forward to Panic Room and The Social Network - just wish they'd do something with Fight Club!
