Stereo or Mono

Ok sad sad question i know, ive read the different between stereo and mono, but i want to buy a BK sub, it comes with a choice of stereo or Mono RCA, i need stereo for my hifi right?

sorry for this obviously stupid question i have no clue

use the hi level connecter you get for free - if you go low level you need a pair of rca intercvonnects the sub will then add them together to create a mono output - you only need one cable if using the LFE from a home cinema amp

So far this is what ive learnt regarding wiring subs, please correst me if im wrong.

If using the high level connector, it fits on to the speaker binding posts on your integrated amp, after setting the gain on the sub it is then controlled by the volume switch on your amp.

I've heard forward facing as opposed to down firing woofers are better for music use .
