Speaker cables & bi-wiring?

Stick a thick pair of socks in the reflex port - works wonders with my Wharfedales. Infact, it's been the biggest improvement I've made to my system. Now the transients are quicker and bass is more defined and yet there has been no reduction in the depth of the bass!

i think i might give the qed cable a try if it helps to make the sound a bit leaner!
