Sony Bdp-s790 New Firmware, .AVI playback problem fix (Serviio & Homestream).

Just in case anyone out there is having any problems with the above here is a quick fix. Open up the console and under status tab, change Blu-ray disc player profile from sony BD Player / smp to Sony Bravia TV (2012) and click save. Should work fine does with my BDP-S790. I also believe it works with the BDP-S590 as well.

Double click Serviio icon on right hand side of taskbar (it may be under hidden Icons), which should open up the console, first tab is the status one, under renderer profile, where it says Blu-ray disc Player change profile from Sony BD player/smp to Sony Bravia (2012).

I have had a little problem viewing .jpeg photos with this profile, but all my music and video files play ok, remember to have Blu-ray player switched on before you start serviio.
