hi folks , im torn between these two tvs , i like the bright picture of lcds , but want to also be able to see detail in dark scenes when watching blueray and upscaled dvds , when watching standard def im not too bothered , i understand that plasma has always had the advantage when displaying dark scenes , and lcd for bright ones , the samsung seems to tick both boxes with its led backlighting apparently giving near plasma levels of deep blacks , 2000000 to 1 ratio and all that , but im concerned that this is reached when displaying a dark screen (ie , tv turned on but no signal ) , which of course is misleading , my basic question is , does this samsung do detailed dark scenes as well as the panny ??? if it does, its for me ... if not , ill go for the panny as its the best plasma in my price range as far as i can see , i expect both the respective new models will be more expensive and i dont want to wait too long ( 6 months already aaarrrrrggggghhhh ) any help would be great .. thanks.....
