samsung le40b550 has it got 24fps?? cant find no info re about it please help

hi people, i need to know wether this tv has 24fps ,i have looked on samsungs website, couldnt find anything re about it, so i phoned them up, i had some 1 that to be honest didnt really know what he was talking about!! as i asked him if this tv is capable of showing picture in 24fps for blue ray, his answer was: no as its not 100hz tv!!!!!!!, i then explained to him there are lcd tv out their like the sony v series which is 50hz but has 24fps, he then contridicted him self and said actually all tvs are capable of showing 24fps !!!!! he confused me!

i phoned a couple of sound and vision specialist who stock samsung re 24fps and i got mixed answers 1 shop said it has and 1 said it dosent.

am i right in saying 24fps has nothing to do with the refresh rate of the tv wether its 50 or 100 hz?

as the sony 37 v series is 50hz but has 24fps

i need to know 100% wether it has or not as its really important, hope some 1 can help as im going to buy a tv for my main room

Tried downloading the user manual from Samsung's website, but to no avail. Given that it's a Full HD set, I'd be surprised if it didn't support 24fps, but will drop a line to Samsung's PR to clarify.

Just had it confirmed by Samsung that the 550 DOES support 24fps - all the 5 Series models do.

Samsungs manuals often forget to say if they support 24htz (page 7 for this model simply says 1080p@50/60htz for HDMI and Component) which is exactly how it is worded in the manual for my older PS-50P96 but that also happily supports 24htz.
