There are two camps here PP. The people who have had problems with their Rega kit and are genuinely frustrated with the company and the others who simply want to get the boot stuck in. (Because Rega are successful or British or they are fed up with hearing about them or whatever.)
Yes there are two camps, a little different from your version. There are those that feel the need to "mess" with a turntable. If you buy close on a £1000 TT it shouldn't need tweaking. As I mentioned on page 3, if it isn't good enough straight from the box then bin it and buy something that doesn't need all this preening.
The second camp i.e. me and other non-Rega owners are rejoicing how lucky we are: Six years with a EDITED old Pro-ject and only changed the cart a couple of months after buying it and NOT a hint of trouble. Bliss.
Perhaps Rega are over-hyped. Maybe even you have bought into the brand Rega... maybe old gossey, goosey has dropped a big'un.
The more I read about Rega the less I'm convinced.
Don't know what you mean. Had my RP3, without any tweaking. Works out of the box beautifully. No need or urge for tweaking either. And for what it's worth: all my other Rega gear works without an itch.
Glad to know that mine is not the only RP3 with no Wobble...
