I hope my stereo decision process hasn't appeared too agonising. Basically, it's come down to a decision between this:

Rega Brio + Rega RS 3s

OR

Naim Nait 5i + Neat Motive 2s

In either case, I want to stream through a Solus Connect. Would the Naim setup be definitively better than the Rega? (Or the reverse!?) In what ways? I'd mainly be listening to acoustic, vocal and classical, little pop or rock. I've listened to both setups and intend to listen again before deciding. It would be playing in the living room of a typical London flat, about 4m by 4m. Please help out here, those with specialist knowledge or experience of these products.

Thanks in advance.

I'd be interested in reading your findings. I can only comment on the Naim, not with those speakers, though.

Did you try the Naim with the Rega's? I tried both the Rega and Naim in combo with the RS3's and plumped for the latter. Admittedly, I didn't try the Naim with the Neat's. I guess it comes down to how you like the presentation of the kind of music you listen most to? For me, I preferred the slightly faster, punchier weight of the Naim to the Brio-R. I listen mainly to prog rock but it is all streamed via a NAS and Arcam DAC. Home audition?

Good luck.

Did you read those links I provided you with? Or was it a waste of time me taking you seriously when you said you wanted information?

OP, surely having listened to them you're the best person to judge which is best for you?

You will not go wrong with any of those 4 components in any combo!

I have the Rega, i love it.

i demoed the Rega with Neat soeakers, they were superb but was gutted they didnt work so well at home, however the Rega speakers work really in my Lounge!

You need to demo yourself, no one can tell you if one is better than the other as its all down to your preferred presentation!

enjoy!
