Why is posting new topics or replies to a nominated thread so confusing on this forum? Once one has completed the post box at the bottom of the box there are two choices provided by What HiFi which are namely a) Save & b) Preview what do the options mean? On other forums the option at the bottom of the post box is a plain and logical submit. Why not have the logical option of submit on What HiFi forums instead of Save & Preview. Have I missed something here, I am all for 'saving' and 'preview' options as long as there is the most important option to submit the proposed post to the thread.

To Simon Lewis, I have found that the option to 'Save' found elsewhere in any website or forum implies the ability to save the particular document (or post or whatever) with the view to viewing the document at a later stage (for any reason) for your own private use. On a forum is a completely different scenario, the forum is a live state open to all the public to see, when one is contributing to the forum its not just simply to 'Save' the post to view privately on a later time it is to place post into a live forum for all to see, so the logical option would be 'submit' as found in most other forums. Have a look at the other forums you will see what I mean.

I just wish the save button actually saved my threads I'm trying to create. Four times I've tried to post a question, each time it says the thread has been created only for it not to appear *diablo*

Hi - I'm also new to What HiFi and was wondering the same after having "saved" my first post to the website. Does the original poster receive a notification (email, etc) when their post is released from the moderation queue and/or when replies to their original post are made? Or does one simply check back every so often to see if replies have been made? Thanks!
