I am sure THX turns off Orbitor so dont use that ideally.

There are loads of threads re settings but nothing works in comparison to a proper calibration.

I was on about this a long time ago - now the majority who post on here feel the same way as I do - some are only recent converts.

BB is next - I am suprised he has not had his done

I leave the pro modes on then switch orbitor to on it will do for now thanks mate

I hear great service he does and price my problem is i live in west sussex quite a drive from me

I did not notice any difference when I compared blu ray players at different price points, for 1080p pictures. Even AV forum reviews allude to the same thing. The differences are in build quality and DVD upscaling mainly, and also sound if you use analogue outs instead of HDMI.

sad but true .if you have mainly Blu ray films I wouldn't go nuts with your budget,as much as I champion the oppo 103 it's no better with Blu ray than my panasonic 220 at half the price.

i was thinking of a panasonic model around £300 mark
