New speakers after Cat damaged old Monitor audio BR5

Hi Guys.

My Cat recently damaged both Mid drivers on my monitor audio Br5's she made holes in the drivers...

Im looking to replace the BR5's. My budget is up to £300 Cash is tight at the moment..

Im intertested in the Wharf Diamonds 10.3 and 155 both seen online for £179 and £299 respectivaly.

My system is a rotel Ra05se AMP (£480) and a Arcam CD73 Cd player and a NAD c516 BEE cd player im using russ andrews power cables with blackrhoadium interconnect and speaker cable

Any ideas or help with this cheers

Hi Robg,

Not sure if I would view the speakers you mention as an upgrade over the BR5s.

Did you like them or do you fancy a change anyway?

You could also give the guys at wilmslow audio a ring. Have a look at their repair and upgrade service. Might not cost £300, and you could put an old driver on each hand and play "patty cake" with the cat!

hi i know they are not upgrade to BR5 but i find myself in tight budget at moment so was looking for a good set budget speaker untill buisness pick up
