Just landed a pristine condition SL-7. Quite chuffed about that.
Now just have to do a little magic with it.

Is it the one I was watching on eBay that went for £113.99? I got mine a few months back for £58 including a Technics receiver. It was supposed to be working, but wasn't. Having got it for such a good price I wasn't that bothered and had it serviced by Vantage Audio. I'm very pleased with it. It sounds excellent through my Slee phono stage.drummerman said:Just landed a pristine condition SL-7. Quite chuffed about that.

Black coupled with American Walnut / European Walnut looks the mutts. I love that combo.

How would you do this sort of stuff to an SL-7?drummerman said:floyd droid said:Yip black looks better I agree. Plinth / wood surround , yeah why not D all good fun mate. Are you going to keep it or move it along ?.

Must look into it. - It will either be something on that line or a suspension platform, perhaps magnetic suspension feet.
I would assume that most things I do will perhaps add to the value one way or another.
I will probably source a new arm belt and replace it as a matter of cause as well as the usual dis-assemble, cleaning, lubing and de-oxing plus whatever else needs doing.
Fun times

I think you may be very restricted in what cartridge you can get nowadays, possibly only Ortofon do the right one and then only a MM.
