Ken Kreisel DXD-808 subwoofer - anyone got it?

I'm thinking of getting a KK DXD-808 subwoofer for my home cinema in the new house. Has anybody got any experience of it? The living room is 12'4" X 16'1". I like the fact that I can always add another in the future if I want to improve on it.

I have had one for a few months now (arranged a group buy from the European distributors to get the cheaper price) and think its great.

My room size is 15 x 16 feet, and it is certainly big enough for this room, although as we are in a flat we don't get to really pump it up that often. It replaced a sealed 10" rel sub, which was rubbish in comparison.

Very clear, great tonal variation and more than enough slam. Goes deep for a sealed unit too, considering its footprint.

Get one :)

What are your views about this subwoofer Cno? I know you have a respect for specialist subwoofer manufacturers.....and this one is made by the inventor himself!

On balance, I would expect it to be good......but can't say more than that, as I haven't heard it.

Ho Cno, yes I am still around. Not really posted much for a while but still very much lurking!

Bad news tho - the dog chewed through my speaker cables and shorted my P7, went up in flames.

The amp, not the dog.

The P777 is very good. *angel*

Of that I have no doubt. I'm currently using an Anthem MRX300 and am very happy, as the room correction really is excellent, and when we moved the sound quality took a nose dive due to the new room accoustics.

When I win the lottery I intend to upgrade, but for the moment I have no need :)
