Im thinking of purchasing this cable to use with a new pair of B&W 685 speakers which im getting tomorrow.

Cable im replacing it with is the Ecosse Ref ES2.3 which was priced at a more expensive £13.50 per meter where the Chord is only £6

Would it make an improvement?

Thanks

Get some bog standard cable, 80p a metre, copper, it'll do the job nicely. IMO. And also IMO the pricey wires for £13 a metre, by all means try them out, but be honest with yourself and don't be won over by marketing speak.

Oh, make sure you check out Roger Russell's page. He's ex-McIntosh who make some VERY expensive kit (not a whole lot of their kit goes for less than £3000 and often way more) and has a good explanation on speaker wire.

And one last thing...what are you expecting to get from that cable on a pair of sub-£400 speakers? You won't get fireworks - best put that towards some better speakers if you want a serious step-up (or amp, or source...you get the gist).
