It's also somewhat ironic that those that are the most critical of YT videos (when their subjectivist views are challenged, usually) are some of the most frequent posters of them...

Tarun has been at it for 4 years so ok he could be considered an 'influencer', but he actually worked in the industry long beforehand. But do you consider veterans like David Price and Ed Selley also to be 'influencers', now that they're on YT??

Your WHF veterans like Simon Price and Andrew Everard have gone commercial FYI.

So please be a bit more discriminate and nuanced when issuing labels.

Also, in many regions like mine, in store auditioning is becoming harder and harder, and honest reviews are one of the only few things to go by.

If so, they’re monetising their opinions, and I believe that’s a fairly universal descriptor for a social media influencer. It’s just a label. Neither good nor bad to be called an influencer, imo.

Every YTer wants to monetise their channel, who doesn't???? I did not pay for any of the content I watched, nor was any gun held to my head.

Every channel has a subscription option, so in your logic no content is worth watching???
