Hi All,

I have moved into my GF house and have so0me chord odyssey. I had my QED revelation fitted with BFA plugs, so they fitted fine.

I now have the cyrus bfa plugs that came with the amp and need to re terminate the cable with the bfa plugs.

How do I do it??!

Do I strip back to bare cable, the stick it into the tube at the top, down into the main housing, then grub screw it up?

What a stupid design these things are from cyrus!

Cyrus is indeed VERY STUPID with this BFA business!! I remember I had the same problem with my Cyrus kit.....I tried BFA plugs and did not like it at all...I then opted for cyrus speaker cables that came terminated with milty camcon plugs...these were a much better fit.

Yes.

Personally I found the Cyrus connectors a much better fit than the generic ones I had.

I have used both types and there is no difference in sound quality. Why would there be? This may be stating the obvious, but the connector needs a fairly firm push into the Cyrus amp. and should go in virtually up to the connector body. Both types will provide resistance going in, i.e. they both fit fine.

I believe Cyrus, amongst others, use the BFA because it is considered a safer connector to use than the traditional brass one.
