banana plugs are they whort it

banana plugs are they worth it and can bad banana plugs ruin the sound i run ixos xhs553 spaker cable wich is pretty good but my bananas are cheap compared ,but they are gold plated . any opinion is welcome

As I said in answer to another post yesterday, "We prefer cables terminated, but then we spend all day plugging and
unplugging them. You could get away with bare wires, provided you cut
them back every year or so to reveal fresh conductor - banana plugs
simply keep the oxidisation at bay and make a more positive connection,
but bare wires, clamped down hard and checked occasionally, will be
fine."

Yes but Thaiman, you've got to be very careful using bananas as plugs. Always remember to remove, clean and replace with a fresh banana periodically.

my real comment would be bananas plugs can make a loose contact. Less likely with spades or bare wire (I use bare wire!) However can it make any difference to the sound what shape the connectors are? I will go no futher sir. My insane comment would be "Andrew, the guy next to you is a coconut, not pineapple!"
