It's not that bad - you can really group it into four overall steps.I was curious, had to check it out. Seems complicated but when has attention to detail ever been my forte! 🙂

The Sound Apprentice: The DIY Sumiko Master Speaker Setup Guide

These B&W CM-1s are also mighty fine for PC desktop setup 🙂After 15 years, it has to be my B&W MM-1 PC speakers. The best PC speakers in the world, unbeaten. That's a pretty big claim I'm making but I stand by it as a fit for purpose tool. And it cost me nearly as much as my 685 Mk1s. But worth every single penny.
It's revealing enough to listen seriously, but easy enough for background listening. It's not a bass monster, but is more effective with games than one would think. The remote still works.
It also connects digitally to the PC via its internal DAC and USB - and controls the master PC volume seamlessly - no fumbling with the PC volume and then having to adjust the speaker volume itself - adjusting the volume on the speaker or the PC does the exact same thing which is what I want. It's shocking how many don't get this right today - even a few Edifier speakers with USB connection.
It's simply a superb piece of kit that B&W never followed up sadly.
