B&W DM601 to B&W 685

Hello,

I quite like my old B&W DM601 speakers, but they are knocking on a bit now. Are the 685 of the same ilk sound wise ? They look similar to my old 601s with the yellow kevlar bits. This could be the easiest upgrade ever ! What does everyone think ?

I would keep the 601s am only saying this as i'm booked in for an amp demo on friday and the guy in the shop said the 685s sound literally the same.I'll let you know on friday if you like?

Hey Jastit - so how did the amp demo go ? Still interested in knowing if there is any big difference between these two speakers.

Hi ya sthomas. What can i say about the 685s other than i like them.There not as high & the depth is longer than the 601s , soundwise there is a slight difference but not vast if that make sence.I wouldn't swap the 601s for the 685s but thats just me, well worth a listin tho.
