Well I don't bloody know do I! So, do you like his voice? *biggrin*

You tried to find it for about 20 to 30 minutes, then gave up, didn't you? *biggrin*

To answer your question, I both like and dislike his voice, but the reason I bought it is, I like buying records. and for 80p, why not?

I happen to think he has a very 'classy' voice, something a bit different. I saw Roxy back in '72 before they hit the big time, and it was obvious (to me) that he had 'star' quality, along with the rest of the band. If you get the opportunity, get hold of the first (White Lady) album, quite a bit different to their 'pop' stuff. Second album 'Music For Your Pleasure' is pretty good too, again, not what I would call 'pop'. Not sure, but I think Eno had left by the third album.

SEXWITCH – SEXWITCH (Natasha Khan's latest project, which is amazing - world-infused psych)
Tamaryn – Cranekiss (which is less amazing, but I saw a signed copy so snapped it up).

Yes I did a little jump and clicked my heels together on the way home.

Most of them came from an old hippie who was selling off some of his collection. I saw him unloading and asked him if he had any vinyl. Out came three boxes and I got first dibs.

He had a box of 10" jazz lp's but he wanted more for those.

Picked up a Sexwitch on my travels

Lucky Boy. Unfortunately I've only managed to get hold of the record.

Played some records today for the first time in ages. Had a bit of a 90s garage house session:
Urban Blues Project – Deliver Me 12"
Urban Blues Project – Love Don't Live 12"
Urban Blues Project – Your Heaven (I Can Feel It) 12"
Urban Blues Project – Testify 12"
Lisa Taylor – Did You Pray Today 12"
(all those titles sound a bit religious, although only the last record actually is).

Then:
SEXWITCH – SEXWITCH
Tamaryn – Cranekiss
Herbie Hancock – Crossings

Charlie, Crossings is very typical early electric jazz, taking its lead from In A Silent Way and Bitches Brew. Long pieces, with formless sections with lots of non-drum percussion and so on. It hasn't got the groove of Head Hunters, though, and doesn't stand out to me in the same way. It's all right, but didn't massively grab me.

I hadn't got any of their stuff on vinyl until the reissue of Big Calm. I spotted this whilst looking through the supplier's vinyl lists for the first time in a few weeks, so thought I'd pick it up, particularly as it comes with the CD too.

I'm afraid I couldn't say - much of my vinyl purchases are stored in suitable boxes - I open a small number to occasionally use in the store. I just don't have anywhere to put a turntable in the room at the moment.
