Care to elaborate Bernie?

You'll have to read through the last page or two Freddy, then all will become clear (or should do).

Went to a Vintage Fair with my wife, and fortunately for me there was a guy selling records, so I had something to look at. Found an original 1st pressing of Grace by Jeff Buckley, in great condition for £20, so I had to buy it.

Went to a few Charity Shops later, and got these for 50p each:

Squeeze-45s And Under

Various-The Indestructible Beat Of Soweto Vol.1

Car Boot this morning, and got 9 records for £2. If they had been a bit pricier, I probably wouldn't have bought most of them, but at that price, they were begging to be bought.

Ultravox - The Collection

Suzanne Vega - Solitude Standing

Abba - Greatest Hits

Abba - Greatest Hits Vol.2

Elvis Presley - The Sun Years

Chuck Berry - Spotlight On

Bryna Ferry - Another Time Another Place

Elton John - Greatest Hits Vol.2

And finally, a record I've never heard of, and have no idea what it is, but it looked interesting.

Nice haul

Solitude Standing is worth £2 at least on its own

Just a thought BBB, but do you just buy anything as long as it's vinyl?

How on earth do you possibly get the time to listen to all these LPs, especially after you've had to clean them all first?

*lol*

The answer to your first question is no, though I'll admit it does look like that a bit. I got 6 for a pound, 2 at 50p each, and the other was free from a lady I'd provided services for in the past. I am BBB after all. *biggrin*

The answer to your second question is, I don't, I do try, but it would be impossible. But, they're all clean and ready to go if I stumble across them in the filing system.

Finally remembered to go and pick up the copy of the MOV Blues Brothers soundtrack re-issue (blue vinyl, number 195), pre-ordered the forthcoming re-issue of Briefcase Full of Blues while I was there (white vinyl), also took a punt on Royal Blood's debut album, had a couple of listens to them on youtube and didn't think it was terrible, so I figured why not and also picked up an early mono Shirley Bassey from the late 50s for 50p from a charity shop, can't remember which one but it was in good nick, so I figured I might as well.

Naturally I haven't listened to any of them yet, busy weekend...

Do you like Man? Presumably you do so you will love this LP, one of my favourites.

I've got Slowhand, bought it when it first came out, and I've probably not played it in over 20 years. It's OK I suppose, but the only Clapton I play these days is the Live From Madison Square Garden with Steve Winwood album. However, for a fiver what have you got to lose?

Slipknot - Vol 3, The Subliminal Verses 2 LP ED (New)

Rage Against The Machine ‎– Rage Against the Machine RED VINYL LP (mint)

Genesis - Selling England By The Pound LP 1973 UK 1st Press

Based purely on a friends advice (and possibly the review in another hifi publication) I went ahead and ordered the double album of Patricia Barber's 'Modern Cool' recently released on Premonition Records.

I don't have any of her work in my collection yet so this could just be a start.
