I've also ordered a couple of copies of the above mentioned Lykke Li album, it just hasn't arrived yet.

Lost in the post. I'd been after this album for ages, suddenly some copies from a few different suppliers appear on Amazon at very good and similar prices. I chose dodax-online-uk to order my copies from, as they were based in the UK, and stated that Royal Mail 1st Class would be the postage. It turns out, that they aren't based in the UK, and the records were posted using DHL Globalwide.

They have refunded me, but I do feel incredibly frustrated, as I could have ordered from another company cheaper, but chose dodax as I thought they were UK based.

I've now ordered just one copy of the album, at twice the price, as that's the only option left. *nea*

Any of those sellers that state posted from the UK, or have UK in their name and state a week or two for delivery aren't based in the UK. It does irritate me, as when searching for stuff, I'm only interested in buying from within the UK, unless forced to do otherwise.

I've emailed both the seller and Amazon with my concerns over their misleading listings. The seller actually had the gall to ask me if I would still use them in the future.

I'm beyond livid.

They irritate me too, and the sellers on ebay who appear in listings searches when I specifically choose only UK listings. I'll email them too, the more they get the better. I doubt anything will change though - Amazon won't want to upset their sources of income.

Just another reason not to use Amazon in my opinion.

In my email I've told them that I will no longer use Amazon until this is sorted.

I've checked, and double checked, and it quite clearly states dispatched from the UK, which is a blatant lie. Is there an online shopping watchdog I could report this to, because I'm bl**dy annoyed?

Hoping to make it to our brand NEW local second-hand record shop (there's a phrase I bet no one expected to see again) on Monday. Exciting!

I'm sure there is an online ombudsman, no wait the coalition just closed the Office of Fair Trading, well there's probably someone - whether they'd be strong enough to stand up to Amazon is an entirely different matter. Not sure really what you can do, probably have to just lump it. Cup of tea?

Sometimes you just have to pay a bit more, but I did knock them down and save myself £2 though. *smile*

Live at The Rainbow ' 74.

Umm'd and umm'd some more on what format/package to purchase and in the end went for the two-disk vinyl copy from Amazon. This package has 12 tracks on disk 1 and 10 on disk 2, from the March/November '74 concerts.

HOWEVER....

You also get to AutoRip a digital version. This actually gives you the 12 tracks of disk 1 but 24 tracks on disk 2, as if you'd purchased the Deluxe CD version.

Which was nice.

Been doing a bit of 2nd hand Richard Thompson vinyl buying on Ebay recently, and I'm extremely happy to report that all 4 LPs that I bought were in truly excellent condition, near mint actually. With P & P costs, all in they came to just under £5 per LP, which I consider acceptable. I've bought..

Hand of Kindness

Daring Adventures

Across A Crowded Room

Small Town Romance

Six thousand seven hundred squids? Someone's losing their mind, I think.
