Why did the Sony STR-DA 2400ES only get 4 stars for features?

Off topic I know but in when I was a boy we had a B&W TV and a Ferguson mono radiogram. We we're just happy to get a programme, rather than a test card and given the weight of the arm on the deck, happy to hear somewhat hissy records, or alternatively hissy radio. Life was somewhat simpler then
