Robert, at Inspire, usually has stock of RB 300's, taken off Planar 3's that have been sent in to be 'Inspired'. Just sayin'...

I'm sure you'll be more than happy with either of your shortlisted TTs and really don't think the Thorens would be a gamble. I know which I would go for. BTW if interested Inspire have an ex demo Vivid (LP12) on offer at a good price, according to their Facebook post.

It is a gamble in terms of you can't dem before purchasing.
I've noticed the Pro-ject Classic has been pimped up and called the Superpack. Didn't think the original was a big improvement over my Pro-ject, so at £1350 this could tick most of the boxes.

Alternatively, a good turntable and tonearm realises the cartridge potential?
Good luck with the audition. Hope you're well enough to enjoy!plastic penguin said:ifor said:plastic penguin said:gamble on the Inspire Thorens.

For a cold? Why?

I was going to ask the same thing.

I’ll leave the last word to Bigboss (if he looks in) but I thought antibiotics were useless against colds and flu’s (viruses).
Had my first flu jab last week. (£7 at local chemist rather than queue in a doctor’s waiting room where everyone is breathing/coughing out bugs into the over-heated air like sitting in a giant Petri dish :-( )
plastic penguin said:Not for a cold - have an ear infection as well as a cough. As I'm a smoker the GP didn't want to take any chance. Mrs. P has a history of respiratory problems. If she gets a cold it usually turns into a chest infection.
