What is the trumpet music that starts at 27 seconds in

I've tried plugging it into a couple of music recognition websites with no useful results.

It's driving me nuts.

I've heard it on other programs recently too...

Any help gratefully appreciated.

If it's not recognised on music recognition software then it is most likely original.

Have you tried 2580 on your mobile? Failing that, write to the BBC and good old aunty will tell you!

I don't know for sure, but much of the music being used in that series has a strong likeness to that of Basil Kirchin - an extended discography, much used in TV and film. I think he died a couple of years ago.
