HEY HEY Here we can talk about the most remarkable hifi things ever made in history. Why these things are remarkable and what made them to be remember trough the ages. From all the parts of the world, any brand any cost! But it seems that expensive things looks more beautiful and sound better in any macabre way. We can talk about any machine, i start with microphone! It seems that one of the best remarkable macabre amazing microphone is the Neumann M 49, a tube microphone that is famous world wide, made by the Germans (that are well know to make machines that endured, like a tank) in 1949. This microphone is very good for voice and to record at distance.

i dont mean anything negative but in spanish and in many parts of the world people use to say macabre when something is really amazing or good, almost to scary good, if you know what i mean *i-m_so_happy*

for example one amazing MACABRE speaker is the Tannoy Westminster Royal, that i looks perfect made for a " Dracula Castle"

A english brand speaker (english people are well know to make very good speakers) of 63 kg, 8 ohms with a 96db impedance, the cabient is of 530 litres with a horn, make sounds with a stunning realism.

I don't think Tannoy Westminster Royals produce "Sounds with a stunning realism".

I'd describe them has having a bloomy bass and lacking in midrange bite, clarity and dynamics.

Both of those Youtube clips they were playing music with relatively little bass content.

How about playing something more demanding through them? Like Steppenwolf, or something?

I'd describe the sound on the first youtube clip as echoey.

And with Youtube clips like that, the limiting factor on the sound quality is the microphone on the video recorder. They are no substitute to actually listening to the speakers. Preferably in an A/B demo. Same room, same track, same volume, different speakers, 1 after the other.

For sure I'd prefer Westminster Royals to a typical modern tiny 2 way ported speaker. But there are other speakers I find more realistic than the Royals.
