DAC - 1. Cockneys love a DAC.

2. Dodging an awkward technical question, asked by an analogue enthusiast.

3. Often served with orange source.

OHMS - audiophiles meditating on the nature of speaker loads.

CARTRIDGE - Loaded into ARMS to blow digital out of the water.

STREAMING - going with the flow when listening to music.

BIAS - used by analogue enthusiasts to maintain their superiority over digital enthusiasts.

EQUALISATION - getting technically inferior equipment to sound as good as superior equipment.

2 WAY SPEAKERS - these say one thing to your face. Another thing behind your back.
 
DITHER - Is what audiophiles do, when trying to decide if the ridiculously expensive upgrade is giving reasonable VFM.

JITTER - Related to the above. It goes to their state of mind, once the decision has been made (in the mind, anyway)...but has to be run by the Leader of the Opposition.

MAINS - when the power lead and 5 amp fuse become the most important part of the system.

HORNS - beware of the bull.

WOOFERS - barking mad SPEAKERS.

TWEETERS - post frequent, short, messages that nobody pays any attention to.
 
PLUG - Reviews for one product (Samsung and Spotify) that are really adverts for another (Cr-Apple and itunes)

BIAS - Determines which company to PLUG.

PRaT - Anyone who believes a WhatHIFI review.

EXTENSION LEAD - Method of buying far more boxes than we need

SENSITIVITY - What are ears have, so we can hear the missus coming home.

WOOFER - Four legged friend for testing how sturdy speaker stands really are.

HI-FI FORUM - Device for people who don't listen, proving that they can't read either.
 
SCHIIT DAC - Like a good DAC, only it's Schiit

SCHIIT HEADPHONES - Like good Headphones, only they're Schiit

SCHIIT H/P AMP - I think you get the idea.
