hi ive got the Perreaux Eloquence 150I with the kef r700 and very happy with the results.but i use the magic stream 6 as my main source of music. as i did not want to go to great expence if i did not like streaming. ,so just wondering which streamer you guys would go for,ive got 2000 to 3000 euros to spend.where i live i can listen to all kinds of streamers but finding the time is impossible with kids at uni in toulouse etc. so just looking for some pointers. thx in advance

Do you live near Toulouse as well? If yes, I was wondering if you had located any good hifi dealers - there seem to be plenty of electrical superstores, but I have struggled to find UK style dealers using Google.

My money would go on a Raspberry Pi + HiFiBerry Digi + RuneAudio + Graham Slee Majestic DAC. I haven't yet got the last item, but have had one on a two week home loan through the excellent Graham Slee Loan Scheme, which operates throughout Europe.

Incidentally one of the Graham Slee forum members, CageyH (aka Kevin) lives in the Toulouse area.

No, I purchased one of plastic ones from Crazy Audio (HiFiBerry).

Currently from a Drobo attached to my iMac over a homeplug network. Wireless doesn't work in my house with really thick walls and the powerline system occasionally lets me down, especially with higher res than 'CD quality'. I may soon invest in a wired home network and I'm tempted by a Drobo NAS.
